Most photographers in the lifestyle community know the term no posing or loose posing. All this means is that you have a mix between a posed photograph and a not posed photograph this works perfect for a lifestyle photographers.

I like to do a mix of both posed and loosed posing in my photography. Reason being is that I don’t alway love a perfectly posed photograph.I also found most people are more comfortable being themselves when they are not being completely posed. Keep reading on so you can discover the five reasons why I believe please posing is so important. 

You look more natural in photographs

Like I mentioned before some people can look and feel uncomfortable when they are being posed. Sometimes even awkward this is especially the case when it’s their first time getting professional photos done. Loose posing helps in this case because, I will give the client simple cues like for example I’ll say “look at each other or tell each other your funny memory of one another”. By doing this it helps the client feel more comfortable and look more natural in the photographs. You won’t get those forced or nervous smiles.

You real personality and character show through the lens

I mentioned above the importance of being comfortable and how loose Posing accomplishes this. Well another cool thing I love about loose posing is how i’m able to capture my client’s personality. You will noticed the photographs will begin to translate who you are and make it easier for you to move around. One of my favorite things is when clients tell me I captured their family perfectly. At the end of the day that’s my main goal. Thats how you get unique photos every time.

It looks like there’s no photographer there

Loose Posing is super cool because you’ll get some shots where you’re totally in the moment. It looks like there’s no photographer there capturing this moment. It looks really genuine and at the end of the day that’s what it is a genuine moment captured on camera. I know a lot of couples love this because they say it feels like a date. I make it as if i’m not there just popping in a few times to naturally guide them through.

You will have more fun

I know this for a fact some people reject or avoid taking family photos. They absolutely hate the process of having to sit and pose perfectly for a photo. Well with loose posing this is not the case at least not how I work. By the time I work with you I should know a couple things about you that will help me make the session more fun. For example, if you play sports or if you have a goofy personality like me. I am super laid-back and never make you feel like you are forced to get the perfect photo. I believe this allows you to have more fun and feel free enough to do what you want which will make you enjoy and have fun in your session which leads to amazing photographs.

The experience will be memorable

I know sometimes preparing for a photo session can be stressful. This is why I believe in making the photoshoot experience as memorable as can be in a good way of course! Loose posing makes it super easy to make great memories and great photos. You won’t want to go back to all posed style I promise.
