Perfect styling guide to your mothers day photo session 

If you booked a mothers day mini session with me recently or perhaps.  You booked it with another photographer. You might be wondering how you should style the perfect outfits for you and your kiddos to look absolutely perfect for your session. So I created and put together a small styling guide to give you an idea of some really cute outfits for you all to wear. 

I believe when it comes to styling outfits we should start with Mom. I find that once mom finds something she loves it is easier to then find something for the kiddos. It becomes easier to complement everyone’s outfit. 

So for this Mother’s Day mini sessions I went with a BoHo spring theme. So most of the outfits you will see here will be geared towards this year’s theme. But with that being said I feel like you can totally apply it too most spring Mother’s Day sessions. 

For Mom

You can never go wrong with the flowy dress. I will link some of my favorites below. If you’re not a fan of dresses I will also link a very cute BoHo top that I think will look great with a pair of jeans. Once you pick a color you like. I feel like it makes it easier to narrow down an outfit. A tip I do have for you is stay away from the color white. It tends to be harsh. I suggest you go with a cream or an off-white color instead if you wanna go this route. 

For girls 

Once you decide on mom‘s outfit you can find something similar for little girls. You don’t want to completely match with Mom but definitely be a little similar. You can even choose the same color as mom just in a different shade. This works well for both little and older girls. I’ll link some of my favorite outfits for little girls below. 

For boys 

I always say boys are much easier to dress. You can find the most simple outfit and they will always look great in it. I’ll link some of my favorite little boy outfits that will also look great on older boys too.
