Why are fall photos so popular? 

Fall time means pumpkin patches, spooky season, leaves changing color and fall photos. I’m sure you’ve seen everyone post their fall family photo on Facebook or Instagram during the season, so what makes them so popular? Well as a photographer in the business I came up with a few reasons why I believe fall photos are so popular. 

You get great fall weather 

First off, the fresh weather that comes with the fall season is a huge reason why many book fall sessions. Fall along with spring have the best weather with it not being super hot or super cold and also less rainy days. Escaping the heat of summer most people are ready to get dressed up for some amazing photos. Specially here in Los Angeles where we hit anywhere from 90 to 100 degrees during summer months it can get really hot and uncomfortable. Everyone is in a happier mood during their photo sessions with fresher weather.  

Beautiful fall backdrops

What I personally love about fall is the beautiful fall colors all around town. The trees are changing colors and you have some of the most beautiful locations as backdrops. I find it hard for anyone to resist the transformation fall brings. You also have new and fun locations like pumpkin patches and farms that open up around this time making fall photos a whole entire experience. 

Taking advantage of summer glow 

Most of us get a little extra color during summer. So taking advantage of the nice bronze and glow will make your fall photos look great. You also be looking like you just came from an amazing vacation but in a fall outfit. 

Perfect Timing 

If you’re planning on using your photos for holiday cards, fall is the perfect time to get this done. Its right before the craziness of the holidays and just perfect where you can wear sweaters and holiday wardrobe. People like to get this out of the way sooner than later so they can focus on planning for the holidays. 

Beautiful Earthy wardrobe 

Fall wardrobe is so stylish with the ability to layer clothing and add more accessories like scarfs and big hats. Along with the earthy tones that fall brings it allows you to match with your surrounding making the photos look great and flow better. The great thing about earthy tones is that everyone looks great in them, so it makes it easier to find an outfit that looks great. Earthy tones are also very timeless. They age very well as the years go by the photos won’t look outdated. Earthy fall tones also look great everywhere in your house. They go with mostly every home décor that is why people love to display there fall photos.
