Fresno Spring Picnic in the Wildflowers 

One of my favorite things about spring is the blooming wildflowers all around the valley this year I decided to take advantage and create a very elegant, timeless spring photo session. I designed this experience around the idea of a picnic overlooking the lake, surrounded by hundreds of blooming wildflowers. This photo session would be different than my normal mini-sessions or full sessions. In this blog, I will go into more in detail on why this specific photo session experience is new and exciting. It’s also the beginning of what more of my sessions will look like. 

What is the story behind it all?

I’m a huge nature girl which is probably why I’m an outdoor photographer I love, exploring, and hiking On one of my hikes, I discovered the most beautiful location in Fresno, at the time it was winter, and I knew that during the spring, the place was going to be surrounded by wildflowers, and I had this idea of bringing my family back and having a picnic there. I just fell in love with this location and it was like lightbulbs were going off in my head. On this beautiful hillside, you could overlook the lake and it was so peaceful I felt it would be perfect to not only bring my family back but also share with everyone. I did just that I got a blanket that I had in my trunk packed up my family and spent one afternoon there. It was so perfect. My family and I had the best time. I remember thinking this is more than just a pretty location with a pretty set up this could be, an experience for my clients as well. As I saw my kids run around in the wildflowers, I began to plan how I was going to put together this experience for my clients. I brainstormed what it was that I wanted to get from it and shared it with them. I knew that this would be something different than what I’ve done in the past so lots of planning was involved. Designing the photo setup was super easy. I knew I wanted something Simple yet very elegant and timeless. Almost like out of a scene from the movie The Notebook. I wanted several baskets filled with flowers a pretty blanket laid on the ground some books because books, bring me peace, and that location brought me peace. I wanted it to face the water and be surrounded by the wildflowers. Then I begin to plan the experience.

The experience 

This experience stems from me, wanting to share the fun side of photography that a lot of clients who are working with me for the first time tell me that they’ve never experienced till they worked with me. I’m super laid-back and easy-going so I know I create a stress-free environment for my clients already. allowing them to feel free and comfortable to be themselves. My posing is very natural and includes moving and guiding my clients into poses that are not stiff and uncomfortable. The new part of the experience here would be other aspects of the environment like for example how I thought of it in my head was hosting a little party photo session. I’ll have you arrive early if you like and hang out, grab a snack, and drink some water you’re more than free to get dressed there as I provide a little mini-changing area. Also available will be a bench for seating so you don’t feel so rushed for your session and everything adds to the easy-going, feeling and comfort. I like to think of it as that photo location is my temporary home and I’m welcoming you in offering your drink, and a snack, making you feel comfortable and at ease so you can focus on being present and enjoying the process. You can trust that I will take care of you and make this so fun and easy for you. This can be so perfect for little ones in between poses, keeping them happy and busy while they wait for their turn to take pictures. This will also be perfect for the expecting Mom who I know much appreciate this experience.

What’s included?

What I included in this photo session aside from an improved experience in the environment.

• My clients will receive 10 digital photos.

• 25-minute length session.

• A wardrobe guide, if needed.

• A fully edited and retouched online gallery. 

Details to keep in mind 

• Families can have up to six people. Pets are welcome. One changing area (tent) is provided. 

Turnaround time is 2 weeks from your session date. 

How do I book? 

To book you can click the link below it will take you to a calendar. Where you pick the date and time of your session. You will also have to pay a $40 deposit to secure the date. once the deposit is paid and the date is selected you will receive an email from me with a contract that must be signed for booking to be complete. 

If any of these steps are not completed and someone else books your slot and completes steps first you lose your spot. 

Can I reschedule? 

Rescheduling is allowed you can reach out to me directly or try to reschedule through the confirmation link where you booked your session. If no recent date works for you. Then you have up to one year from the session date to book the session without the deposit being loss.
