How to make your holiday photos stand out

Holiday photos are a staple for the holiday season. Many families have a tradition established around them. I know doing the same holiday cards can be a little repetitive so I will share with you 3 ideas to help make your holiday photo stand out. I believe it is important to find the right photographer that is willing to make your holiday photos unique and special.

Cozy pajama party

Find some cute PJS online, have fun with the patterns and the colors, coordinate with your family, and have a cozy pajama party theme for your holiday photos. Add some Santa hats and you’ll have a whole unique idea that will make your photo stand out. Plus you get to wear the PJS on Christmas Day so it's a multi use purpose or those cute holiday pj's. I wanted to add that you can also wear your Christmas pj's for a in home photo session but don't be afraid to tell your photographer to find you the perfect outdoor location. Have fun in your PJS outside, this will make it extra unique and fun.

 Doing an activity

Have a photo shoot doing a holiday activity. For example, you decorating your Christmas tree as a family or wrapping gifts, even baking holiday cookies, this is super unique and will definitely make your holiday photo stand out. Another added bonus is that you get some Christmas activities in as well. Find cute Christmas wardrobe, maybe holiday sweaters and there you go, a perfect holiday card that will bring beautiful memories when looking back at.

Use of Christmas lights

This is probably one of my favorite sessions to do. My absolute favorite things to do for the holiday season is decorate my house with Christmas lights. I also love to use them with my clients or their holiday photos. You can use them as props. They give off such beautiful light and glow that will make your holiday photo stand out. They are also very decorative and can be used for many different purposes.

I love doing holiday sessions like this. I get super excited, I want a client experience that takes a different approach to holiday photos. I think it's super important for family to still enjoy their photography session, I mean we did invest a pretty penny on amazing professional photos, so why not make the experience fun and kind with beautiful memories to look back at. I hope these options are helpful for you and then you give them a try after looking to book a holiday session. Click the book a session button below.
