2024 brides what to expect from me on your wedding day|Lifestyle Photographer| Clovis CA
At this point, I have quite a few weddings under my belt, and the more I do them the more I fall in love with them. Maybe I’m drawn to the craziness of it or maybe I’m just a hopeless romantic. It could be both but this year out of all the sessions I’m doing I’m super stoked for the weddings I have booked. It’s like a new spark and this burning fire to really tap into this creative side of me and weddings. I wanted to put together a little of what to expect from me on your wedding day. I’ve gotten to know more about myself and work style when it comes to wedding photography. If I were to describe what it is like to work with me as your wedding photographer this is a little of what it’s like. Of course, since every bride is different I kind of adjust to her but wholesome this is what I’m like.
Maid of honor number two ?
I’m for sure that photographer that’s going to be kind of like your maid of honor and hear me out. My focus is capturing you on your wedding day but it is also about wanting you to be present in the moment and if that means helping you relieve some stress by clearing out the room so I can have a moment with you and your mother as she helps you in the dress then that’s what I will do. If that means helping you squeeze your boobs into your dress and putting on some boob tape, I will also be doing that because that can be stressful and I want you to be happy and in the moment for your pictures. I will be the person that you need because sometimes you want to be able to say certain things to people on your wedding day but don’t really want to be rude. I will be that person for you if you don’t want someone in the room and you just want your husband. I will be that person who will politely ask everyone to leave and give you two a moment. If you already have that person great, better for everyone, but I’m always more than happy to be your photographer and much more on your wedding day.
Your hype person/ support person
You will most likely hear me saying you’re beautiful 1000 times and that’s the truth because brides are so beautiful and breathtaking. I will encourage you to have fun dance around and actually enjoy your wedding day. The photo process can be annoying if you don’t actually know how to have fun and be in the moment. The craziest part of wedding photography for me is making sure the couples forget everything else around them, and actually have fun. Feel good about themselves and their wedding day. I will most likely be the hype person and support person you need to constantly remind you that this is your wedding day. This is your day and this is your moment. Enjoy it.
Make it about you both
Actually, making the wedding day about the couple. This is so huge for me ! You think this is common sense, but speaking out of experience, sometimes wedding days can be about everyone else, and making everyone else feel comfortable and pleasing the guests when in reality the couple is the only thing that matters. I’ve done this at every wedding and I make sure to give the couple a pocket of time where they can just conversant and check in on each other and be present and say hey wow we’re actually at this point in our wedding. How are you doing husband or wife? Because that is what I find couples do the least it’s always a high-speed chase from the moment the wedding starts till the end of the day and that sounds like absolute chaos and insanity and I’m here for the slow moments. I can create opportunities throughout the day to make sure the couple I’m working with is left alone, and I can give them that moment a privacy to have with themselves.
Photography you can feel
I like to focus my photography around connections, emotions, and moments. Based on our pre-wedding meetings, I should know and have an idea of what you’re looking for and how your day is structured. This will allow me to create a shot-list or a plan, on how I want to prioritize your photography moments. The timeline of your wedding is kind of like a base plan of the special moments. What I personally love about wedding photography are the kind of unexpected moments that you can’t plan out. Those, you can just basically feel them happening and that’s the beautiful thing about Photography that you get to capture them and freeze them in time. I’m always seeking for these moments. You know the ones where the bride and grooms eyes meet and you can see the love they have between each other and how unique it is. That’s the kind of wedding photography I love.
Every detail matters
Wedding day’s can be hectic and most of the time brides don’t take the time to take in every detail on their wedding day. This is where I come in. I will take pictures of everything you can possibly see even if it feels unimportant at the moment. I think it’s nice to look back and see how the room looked even if it felt crazy at the time it’s a memory, and it should be captured. From table settings to the dance floor, the twinkly lights, the ceremony chairs, the name tags, the invitations, the light shining through the window that day it will all be captured because it all happened on your wedding day and it should be remembered.
Like I mentioned before every wedding is unique, and I’m kind of like a chameleon where I adapt my situation and surroundings, so everyone’s wedding does look different, but this is most of what it is like to have me as your wedding photographer on a consistent basis. I’m so excited to work with all of the couples, for the future weddings I have booked and I am super honored to be considered to be part of your wedding day.
